Extradition of Sirul

However, it is too premature to say anything now. We have to use administrative channels to get him extradited to Malaysia. It is possible for a third-party to take him to the courts there (Australia) and stop him from coming back. Morally, Australia is obliged to return him. The Inspector-General of Police (Khalid Abu Bakar) is in touch with the police authorities there.

Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, Deputy Home Minister, saying Australia could refuse Malaysia's request to extradite former police personnel Sirul Azhar Umar

Zahid’s letter to FBI

Hence, using my discretion, I issued the explanation letter on Paul Phua's status to the FBI, and it was not a support letter for not charging Paul Phua, as reported by pro-opposition news portals.

Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, Home Minister, stressing that his letter to the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) was not meant to defend alleged Malaysian gambling kingpin Paul Phua, who is facing trial in the United States

K-Pop controversy

Don't chase down youths who hug (pop stars) but fail to reprimand top leaders who do the same with artistes.

Anwar Ibrahim, PKR de facto leader, chiding religous authorities for being selective in taking action against tudung-clad girls who hugged K-Pop stars at a meet-the-fans event last week

Talk to them. Counsel them. Advice them (sic). But threatening them with arrest? That’s absolutely unnecessary. That’s over the top. And when you do finally realise that counselling them is the best option, do it privately to avoid embarrassing them. Please.

Shabery Cheek, Communications and Multimedia Minister, urging religious authorities to educate offenders instead of punishing them

Another report against 1MDB

I am lodging a report today as the capacity of a taxpayer, it is my right. I strongly believe that with the reports lodged with the MACC and the police, they will be able to conduct a thorough investigation together.
