RM1200 hairdo

Now when I want to dye my hair at home, the hairdresser charges me RM1,200. Wow, that is expensive but they say the price is different in the store. It’s pricey because it is home service...

Rosmah Mansor, Prime Minister’s wife, lamenting how expensive it is for her to dye her hair at home

Press conference with Sirul

I fully respect the authority of the Australian government, whose protection I am under, and I need to respect Australia. I do not wish to make a statement at this moment. However, I will try to make a statement at a more approprate time.

Sirul Azhar Umar, fugitive police commando, giving a cold shoulder to a much-anticipated conference call between him and PAS information chief Mahfuz Omar

We will be there for a week to visit Sirul. A press conference will be held, most probably on Friday, to announce the date we are leaving.

Mahfuz Omar, PAS information chief

Opposition leader

In DAP, there is Lim Guan Eng and other young but tested DAP leaders; in PKR there are Datuk Seri Dr. Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, Azmin Ali, Nurul Izzah; and in PAS there is Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang and a new generation of PAS leaders.

Lim Kit Siang, DAP advisor, commenting on the possible candidates to replace Anwar Ibrahim as the next Opposition leader

Anwar Ibrahim’s fate

No. We are not seeking a royal pardon for his release... and did not receive any instruction from Anwar to do so. He is innocent (after all).

Rafizi Ramli, PKR secretary general

Expelling party from Pakatan Rakyat?

Pakatan does not belong to DAP, Pakatan does not have a leader, if (DAP) disagrees, it should leave Pakatan, why ask us to leave, and they cannot make us (PAS) leave.

Takiyuddin Hassan, PAS assistant secretary-general, suggesting that DAP should leave Pakatan Rakyat if they disagreed to the struggle of PAS

Don’t misuse immigration law

I can even go to North Korea, the so-called ‘devil’s country’, but if I am not allowed to enter Sarawak, then it is most ridiculous. Therefore, we need to re-examine the provisions of the Immigration Act that have been abused and misused by the state government to bar anyone from carrying out legitimate political activities. This is to prevent them from carrying out effective campaigns, and this is our main worry.

Mohamad Sabu, PAS deputy president, calling for a relook into the Immigration Act provisions being misused by Sarawak to bar opposition politicians from entering the state
