1MDB money trail to Najib’s account

The task force has obtained a number of documents and had subsequently sent them to me for review. I confirm that I have received documents from the task force related to 1MDB, including documents related to the allegations of channelling funds to the prime minister's accounts.

Abdul Gani Patail, Attorney General, confirming that he has indeed viewed documents related to the alleged transfer of 1MDB funds into Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak's accounts

Is the attorney-general also going to be accused on investigating 1MDB based on false information perpetrated by a former PetroSaudi employee as had been played up?

Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man, PAS deputy president

This is why I hope there will be a denial and proof that (the embezzlement claims) never happened. But if did happen, it is a very terrible thing and should not be looked upon lightly.

Haron Din, PAS Murshidul Am, saying it would be very unfortunate especially with regards to the weakening Malaysian economy if the allegations against Prime Minister Najib Razak is true

If Najib were to continue holding on to the position of power, the public would not believe that any investigations could be conducted without fear or favour.

Tian Chua, PKR vice president

This allegation is very serious and can affect Datuk Seri Najib's credibility and integrity as prime minister and head of government. Therefore, it is my stance that the relevant investigative authorities, such as the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), Bank Negara Malaysia, Royal Malaysian Police with the cooperation of the Attorney-General's Chambers, must act immediately to investigate all allegations made against Datuk Seri Najib.

Muhyiddin Yassin, Deputy Prime Minister

Don’t speculate, don’t make assumptions.

Hishamuddin Hussein, Defence Minister, on the embezzlement claim made against the Prime Minister
