Muhyiddin Yassin’s final day as DPM

I can accept differences of opinion and criticism as part of the decision-making process. But as Cabinet members, differences of opinion shouldn’t be expressed openly that can affect public perception towards the government. The decision to replace Muhyiddin was a very difficult one, but I had to do it so a strong team can move forward.

If I was dropped (as deputy prime minister) for my stand on this issue (1MDB), I accept it.

We cannot say we agree or not (with the new cabinet line-up). We'll see how they carry out their tasks, especially on issues affecting the people and the country.

In the Cabinet, we had agreed that only Husni (Second Finance Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Husni Hanadzlah) would talk about 1MDB until the task force investing had completed its job. But he did not abide by the Cabinet decision and went on the attack last Sunday at the Cheras Umno meeting.

Let us not fall for drama put together to divert our attention from 1MDB. The new Cabinet is a pro-1MDB Cabinet. Whatever it is, PAS will continue to fight Umno and its tyranny against the people.

Parliamentarians without considering their parties should unite to save Malaysia. The people will not support any member of parliament who watches as the country plunges into a deeper crisis.

PAC in turmoil

All proceedings that had been arranged for August, including 1MDB will be halted until the new PAC line-up is announced at the next Dewan Rakyat sitting.
