PAS has decided to contest in 11 seats after consultations with coalition partner PKR while no discussions were held with DAP as PAS and DAP have severed ties.

Swiss AG’s request on 1MDB investigation

Making a public statement, in my opinion, is not a proper move. Not only it could strain ties between two countries but also lead to bias in media reports.

Regarding the recent public statement by the Office of the Attorney-General of Switzerland, my office intends to take all possible steps to follow up and collaborate with our Swiss counterparts, and we look forward to receiving the findings of their investigations and materials through the normal channels. These materials will then be reviewed, alongside the findings of other relevant authorities and our own investigations, to determine the appropriate course of action.

Kedah crisis

As the Kedah Umno liaison committee chief, I humbly apologise to His Majesty the Sultan of Kedah and His Highness the members of the Regency Council for the actions of some Umno members that have sullied the honour of the sultan and the festivities of the birthday celebration of the Kedah sultan. I urge that all 14 Umno division leaders involved directly or indirectly in the Jan 20 press conference, and the six Kedah exco members who were absent from the Jan 27 executive council meeting to apologise immediately to the His Majesty the Sultan of Kedah and His Highness the members of the Regency Council.

Rather quit

Based on my experience of over 30 years in this field, I know that MACC officers have always carried out their duties in a professional manner. I would like to stress that I am willing to resign, rather than take actions against my officers who have all this while been defending the MACC's independence, upholding justice, as well as carrying out their duties according to the law.

Papaya leaves

The hike in platelet is only one of numerous processes taking place in a patient suffering from dengue fever. Studies are still being conducted on the use of papaya leaf juice for dengue fever. The ministry also does not provide papaya leaf juice in government hospitals.
