No pork sign

I have instructed our officers to check and to ensure that there were no tricks being played by the owners of the eateries in their bid to lure customers. Muslim consumers are advised not to eat at such premises because the 'pork-free' signage is probably displayed for devotees of other religion who do not eat pork.

I do not intend to play a mediator's role, but I can be a tool to persuade those who feel marginalised and are disgruntled with the party. I am happy that Shafie is talking less now and it will help heal the party before the 14th general election, which is less than three years away. I met Shafie recently and the outcome is positive.

Non-Muslim marriage

The ex-husband and the ex-wife were Hindus at the time of their marriage. By contracting the civil marriage under the Law Reform (Marriage & Divorce) Act 1976 (LRA) they are bound by its provisions in respect of divorce as well as custody of the children of the marriage. The matter of dispute in this case is not within the jurisdiction of the Syariah High Court.
