Clean-up: HIT leaves for Temerloh

KUALA LUMPUR - Mindful of PAS' president's recent request that everyone must go all out with clean-up effort in flood affected areas, the Harakah Investigative Team (HIT) departed this morning to do its part.

HIT, consisting of Wan Zahari Wan Mohd Salleh, Sufi Naz and Nor Hasmira Mohamad however, were not alone in their efforts.

They were part of a larger team consisting of volunteer and off duty firefighters from several areas in Hulu Langat, and HIT was operating under the umbrella of Bomba Sukarela Bangi.

Moving to the flood affected areas in seven vehicles, they brought along with them food items and clean-up equipment.

Their mission was expected to be completed latest by Friday.

Senior Fire Superintendent II Mohd Hamizal Ainuddin made a short speech, and a recital of doa was held before the team was flagged off at 930am from the Pandan Indah fire station. - ES
